The Stone Curator was born from a shared passion for beautiful design and a belief that luxury should be accessible.

Together, Karen and Merna bring more than 25 years of building, renovation and interior design experience, combining industry knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people create beautiful homes.

Karen brings over 25 years of experience in the residential building industry and is the lead interior designer at Que One Homes, a custom home builder based in Melbourne. Merna had successfully completed her fifth home renovation, developing a practical understanding of how to create beautiful spaces while working within real-world budgets.

Through their work and personal projects, they developed a deep appreciation for natural stone and its ability to add warmth, character and timeless elegance to a space.

However, they also recognised a common challenge: incorporating natural stone into a home often came with a significant price tag, placing it out of reach for many renovators and homeowners.

This inspired a simple question:

How can we help more people experience the beauty of natural stone without the substantial investment?

The answer became The Stone Curator.

Curated Stone Collections

We design and source a carefully curated range of stone products that can be seamlessly incorporated throughout the home. From vanities and fireplaces to shelves, plinths, basins, handles and decorative pieces, every product is thoughtfully designed to work together, creating a cohesive and elevated aesthetic. Our collections allow homeowners, renovators, builders and designers to introduce luxury stone features throughout a home without the cost of full stone fit-outs.

Stone Marketplace

Our marketplace connects renovators, builders, designers and stonemasons with quality stone offcuts that would otherwise remain unused. Every year, thousands of stone slabs and remnants sit unused in fabrication yards despite being perfectly suited for feature pieces, vanities, hearths, shelving, benchtops and custom projects.

By giving these materials a second life, we make natural stone more affordable while reducing waste and supporting a circular economy. This approach benefits everyone involved — homeowners gain access to premium materials at a lower cost, stonemasons generate value from surplus stock, and less stone ends up in landfill.
